German operator says Nord Stream pumping falls to 20% of capacity

MOSCOW, Jul 27 (PRIME) --  Supplies through the Nord Stream gas pipeline decreased to 1.28 million cubic meters of gas per hour, or slightly less than 20% of the pipeline capacity, since 9:00 a.m., Moscow time, on Wednesday, German gas operator Gascade said in a statement.

Gazprom said earlier it would cut pumping via Nord Stream to 20% of capacity, or no more than 33 million cubic meters per day, from Wednesday because it will suspend another Siemens turbine at the Portovaya compressor station at a time when the first had not been returned from repairs.

Gazprom and Siemens accused each other of failing to issue correct documents for the return.
